CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Organic certification ensures that this product has been grown and processed according to strict standards established under the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990. Before a product can be labeled Certified Organic, farmers and processors must meet several important requirements:

  • No prohibited or harmful chemicals may be applied to the land for at least three years prior to harvest.

  • Farms and processing facilities must undergo annual inspections by an independent organic certifying agency.

  • Detailed records of farming and processing practices must be maintained and available for review.

  • Farmers must follow a written organic management plan that outlines how organic standards are upheld.

These guidelines help ensure the integrity, traceability, and quality of certified organic products from farm to final product.
